About Ceange projects

We are experienced Health and Safety Practitioners operating in the Chemical Industry for more than forty years. Our training is presented by accredited facilitators and assessors who have practical experience in Hazardous Chemicals Handling, Emergency Procedures, and Incident Investigation.

Training

Health & Safety Induction (½ Day)

Intended for new employees and entrants into the industrial environment. Explains the requirements of their particular workplace and job function as well as their own responsibilities in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Health & Safety Representative (1 Day)

Explains the functions of the H&S Rep in terms of the OHS Act and provides the foundational training to enable the candidate to effectively perform the function of H&S Rep.

OHS Principles (2 Days)

Intended for managers and interrogates how the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) provides for the health and safety of persons at work, and the definition of the term "reasonably practicable". Also addresses the duties and prohibitions imposed by the Act and the consequences of non-compliance.

Supervisor Safety (1 Day)

Provides the foundation for supervisors, who already know a bit about OHS legislation to manage, implement and maintain a health and safety program through applying methods for hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation and emergency evacuation procedures.

Incident Investigation (1 Day)

Identifies and explains all the legal and organisational requirements and processes revolving around incident investigation and the implementation of safe operating procedures to ensure it does not happen again.

Hazchem Handling (1 Day)

Focusses on identification, classification, transporting, handling, and disposing of Hazardous chemicals. Will enable the candidate to apply this knowledge in accordance with relevant legislation.

PPE Awareness (½ Day)

Instruction on the importance of Personal Protective Equipment, the different types, and correct way to use PPE.

Basic Fire Fighting (1 Day)

The candidate will gain an understanding of how fires start and spread, and how to identify the types of fire as well as the appropriate equipment to extinguish fires correctly.

Management Responsibilities (1 Day)

Focused around management and their responsibility towards Occupation Health and Safety as well as their executive legal liability in terms of OHS legislation.

Contagious Disease Management in the Workplace (½ Day)

COVID-19 is not the only communicable disease around, but it has focussed the world’s attention on the need for training to help companies instruct and train staff to implement preventative measures for employees and visitors' health and safety.

OHS Compliance Assessment

Ensure that your working environment is "as far as reasonably practicable" safe, and without risk to the health of your employees through conducting a site survey and compliance audit in terms of the OHS Act. Based on the results of the audit, a mitigating program will be implemented to ensure compliance.

Emergency Plans & Procedures

An emergency preparedness program designed specifically for your organisation. Based on a consultation and your particular and evacuation requirements and emergency plan would be drafted and implemented subject to approval. This includes emergency procedures applicable to your industry.

Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA)

A site survey and assessment will be conducted to identify risks and hazards in the workplace. A detailed report will be presented regarding best practices in addressing any identified risks or hazards, including removal, or mitigating thereof through implementing safe operating procedures, or as a last resort specifying the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to be used. As an additional service, assistance in conducting post HIRA evaluation, monitoring, assessment, and action plan implementation.

Incident Investigations

Independent investigation of on-site incidents will be conducted on behalf of the organisation. On completion of the investigation a confidential report will be submitted to the company detailing any identified vulnerabilities and proposing safe operating procedures to prevent recurrence. This will be done in close cooperation with your company's management.

Health & Safety Consultation

Revision of your OHS documentation, procedures, processes, and systems. This includes Training Plans, Induction Processes, Emergency Plans and Procedures, Evacuation Plans, and Safe Work Procedures.
